Hello, I’m Jason Li and I design intuitive digital products that achieve organizational goals.

I am a user researcher, business analyst, and UX designer with 10+ years experience building customer experiences for responsive web and desktop applications.

From conducting user research and usability tests to designing wireframes and building design systems, I have worked through the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Design Thinking process from start to finish on a variety of complex domain applications.

Gathered functional requirements for an IT service desk application; create test cases and performed functional testing; provided training to over 300 users.

Case Management

Designed a high-level sitemap for a common case management solution and provided page template layouts for multiple dimension views of data.

Battle Management System

Designed an interactive wireframe demonstrating how users could generate battle plans based on sensor data and weighted attributes.

Flight Management System

Designed wireframes demonstrating how flight operators can create routes to ensure aircrafts are able to connect with specified wireless signals.

Customer Relationship Management

Gathered requirements from sales, finance, and marketing to configure a CRM; created use cases, performed functional testing, and created Help documentation.

Proposal Tracking System

Performed a heuristic evaluation on a proposal tracking application used for managing RFPs, RFIs, and bids on government contract opportunities.

System Alert Management

Designed a system alert management system for scheduling and displaying alerts relating to service outages and maintenance activities.

You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new.

Design Philosophy

UX Design is not only satisfying users; it’s also about achieving business goals and working within technical constraints. Focusing on one factor over another can lead to one of three outcomes:

  • Business + Technical - User = your users won’t use the product

  • Technical + User - Business = product not supported by the business

  • User + Business - Technical = just an idea that can’t be developed
