For the colour choice, I chose bright orange and blue as my colour scheme. These two colours create an energetic feeling for the booklet. Since it is a bilingual project, I decided to use English and French because these are the two official languages in Canada. For the font choices, I used Futura because sans serif fonts can create a sense of modernity and less seriousness. Since English and French have similar shapes, I decided to differentiate them by applying black on English text and blue on French text. In this way, the two languages are visually equal, while the reader can still notice the difference between them. I also applied large outline words for each event. They are the category names for the events, and it allows the readers to look for the kinds of events they want at a glance.
